Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum

The appeal of country music transcends generations in its unique reflections on human emotions and relationships. From its roots in the south to the Urban Cowboy craze of the ‘70s and ‘80s, and on into the new millennium, people from all walks of life identify with music that speaks to the heart of humanity.

Enter Country Music heaven through a huge, beautiful lobby accentuated with a water feature to begin your self-guided tour of three floors of everything country. The core of the Museum, called Sing Me Back Home, tells the story of country music from its pre-commercial days in the 19th century all the way through to today’s newest artists. Artifacts, photographs, original recordings and touchscreen interactive media combine to bring you a chronological narrative of all your favorite stars.

You’ll see Elvis Presley’s solid gold Cadillac limo, Jimmie Rodger’s guitar, stage costumes worn by Ray Price, Gram Parsons, Dwight Yoakam, Alan Jackson and others, a Kenny Rogers’ collection, plus new artifacts from today’s hottest stars such as Jason Aldean, Taylor Swift, the Band Perry, and Brett Eldredge.

Rotating exhibits allow for the display of all the museum’s collections over time, and feature titles such as Dylan, Cash, and the Nashville Cats: A New Music City, Loretta Lynn: Blue Kentucky Girl, Shania Twain, Ray Stevens: Everything is Beautiful, Tim and Faith, Charlie Daniels: Million Mile Reflections, Jason Aldean: Asphalt Cowboy, just to name a few!

Be sure to go into the Hall itself. Many of your favorite artists have been inducted into the Hall of Fame and you’ll enjoy seeing the plaques commemorating this honor. From A to Z, you’ll find Ray Acuff to Porter Wagoner and dozens in between.
