Mardi Gras World

You’ve heard about Mardi Gras, enjoyed “Fat Tuesday” festivities, joined in the revelry, yet maybe never known its origins or realized how the iconic New Orleans parades actually come to be! Now is your chance to see how it all comes together and learn the origins of this celebratory day. Let Mardi Gras World unmask the mystery and take you behind the scenes to get a bird’s eye view of the massive Blaine Kern studios where it takes the entire year to produce the day’s breathtaking, monumental floats.

Fat Tuesday has religious origins and celebrates the last night of eating richer, fatty foods before the ritual fasting of the Lenten season. Parades, carnivals, and other festivities are popular around the world and New Orleans has become synonymous with Mardi Gras in the United States.
