Coral Springs Museum of Art

A warm and inviting ambiance prevails at the Coral Springs Museum of Art, which opened in 1977 with a vision to offer the public both a peaceful and stimulating environment to enjoy the arts. Located within the 30,000 square foot Center for the Arts building, the museum has a beautiful, open architectural design and an atrium view. The visual arts are for everyone, and Coral Springs is proud to bring you a continuous flow of contemporary and innovative local artists. Expect to see exhibits by artists such as:

· Cory Bennett Anderson – Iconic NEO-Pop – mixed media/expressionist
· Florida Watercolor Society – annual juried exhibition of artists from Florida
· Luis Castaneda – Cuban landscape photographer
· Virginia Fifield – Super-realistic charcoal drawings of animals and nature
· Stan Slutsky – Geometric and chromatic Abstraction
· Many others!

Take a stroll outdoors after viewing the gallery for some outdoor visual art experiences. Enjoy the International Peace Garden’s numerous sculptures surrounded by lush, eco-friendly landscaping. In a tribute to the Everglades, there is a 54 x 17 foot handcrafted wall showcasing its beauty through 7,000 relief ceramic clay tiles. Peppered throughout the grounds you’ll also see larger-than-life orange slices, a mystic hima lima, ‘Mindscape’ by Yoshin Ogata, and an enormous mosaic chair in which you can sit.

Keep in mind that the Museum is located right within the Center for the Arts, offering concerts, plays and a variety of shows. Check out the schedule of events while you are there.
