Staten Island Children's Museum

Stimulate the creativity and curiosity of your children at the Staten Island Children’s Museum! Located in the serene campus of Snug Harbor Cultural Center, the museum is dedicated to providing a fun and welcoming environment for children of all backgrounds celebrating all learning styles.

This 40,000 square foot facility is filled with activities to excite children of all ages and interests. Children will be inspired by the artwork throughout the museum while playing with big games like life sized chess, building cities of their own with blocks and drill, design and decorate a life sized home in the House About It exhibit. Want your children to understand where electricity comes from when they flip a switch? They can explore the Green Living Room, a room with appliances all powered by low carbon “green” energy. For children with interests in bugs and insects, this is the place to be! Children can crawl through a giant size ant hill, move larvae from chamber to chamber, watch butterflies being born and bees working on their hive.

Other exhibits focus on theater, sea and boating, firefighters, exploration of extreme environments, gardening and art workshops. Treat the kids to an activity-filled day with endless learning and excitement, they will be begging for their next trip to the Staten Island Children’s Museum!
