GatorWorld

Come meet the alligators, crocodiles, wildcats, exotic birds and snakes residing at GatorWorld, a 110-acre wildlife preserve and theme park that combines Old Florida charm with exciting encounters and entertainment. See Pearl, the albino alligator who is a Youtube sensation, and rare, giant white alligators that are not albino but leucistic, with piercing blue eyes and some pigmentation. Visit the Baby Gator Marsh which 60 of the smallest hatchlings call home.

Crocodiles live side-by-side with the alligators and you can tell them apart by the pointed snouts as well as lighter skin. They will be sunning themselves on the banks of the lakes in the park with mouths wide open, regulating their temperature. Bonecrusher is the largest crocodile here, living in the southern part of Gatorland. Wander over next to see Osceola and Abiaka, an affectionate pair of male Florida Bobcats. Neiko and Lucy are a cross between a Texas cougar and a rare and endangered Florida panther.

Birding enthusiasts will love the assortment of Tricolored Herons, Cormorants, Egrets, and many more. Strike up a conversation in the Parrot Playground and mingle with hundreds of budgerigars (also known as parakeets) in the Very Merry Aviary.

Overcome your fear of snakes at a Close Encounter Show where you’ll meet four types of venomous snakes as well as scorpions, toads and lizards, and ask about feeding times for the giant tortoises that weigh up to 500 pounds. Lucy, Dean and Kendrick will be happy to interact with you!

Special Gator Shows round out your day, with alligators and crocodiles demonstrating their awesome power in various ways, jumping and wrestling in an 800-seat shaded stadium. Before departure, pick up some plush animal souvenirs in the gift shop, or a tee-shirt or hat also make a perfect memento to celebrate the day you met the gators.
