Philadelphia

Segway Adventure (1 Hour)

Philly by Segway offers visitors and locals alike an unparalleled way to see The City of Brotherly Love in a way that gets you out into the open air, moving along at a speed perfect for both sightseeing and “getting there!” Local tour guides are excited to share the history of the city and offer insight into the many opportunities for exploring it in more depth. Sometimes called the “Birthplace of America” for its role in the American Revolution, there is a great deal of rich history to discover, as well as many modern eateries, museums, beer gardens and festivals.

You’ll begin with 30 minutes to register and train on your Human Transporter device, the Segway, then hit the trails for an hour of riding. Helmets are provided and required for all, and your guide will be taking photos of your group throughout the tour, which will be emailed to you free of charge. This great perk allows you to pay closer attention to your riding while assuring you have pictures to remember the adventure.

As the tour takes you through the Historic Old City and down to Penn’s Landing you’ll have views over to New Jersey and out to the Benjamin Franklin Bridge. Continuing along the Delaware River you’ll pass historic ships and popular restaurants (which you may want to frequent later!) Heading South, you’ll arrive at the Bella Vista neighborhood, sometimes overlooked by travelers but a wonderful peek into the artistic nature of the city dwellers who paint the amazing murals you’ll be riding by. The iconic Italian Market is popular with fans of the Rocky movies and the eclectic South Street takes you to the Philadelphia Magic Gardens. Society Hill with its gorgeous historic homes and quaint, quiet streets is on your route. The tour concludes as you head through the Independence Mall area, along Race Street, and back to the starting point next to the Betsy Ross House.

Riders must be 12 years of age or older, or accompanied by a guardian who can sign the waiver form, and must weigh between 100-300 pounds. Safety is the company’s first priority!
