TOUR DESCRIPTION

Billed as “one part history, two parts haunt”, the Spirit of ‘76 Ghost Tour is the most fun and frightening way to see Philadelphia’s monuments. Traverse the cobblestone streets of Old City under the moonlight as your guide reveals haunted facts and folklore. Learn about the legendary ghosts that inhabit Independence Hall, hear stories about a prisoner’s mysterious escape from the Eastern State Penitentiary, and get goosebumps listening to the tales of paranormal Pine Street happenings. Then visit the film locations of movies like The Sixth Sense and Shooter. You’ll see more than 20 of Philly’s most frightening sights on this 1.25 mile outdoor walking tour.

  • April: Friday and Saturday at 7:30pm
  • May: Thursday - Saturday at 7:30pm
  • June: Wednesday - Sunday at 7:30pm
  • July - August: nightly at 7:30pm and 9:30pm
  • September: Wednesday - Sunday at 7:30pm
  • October: nightly at 7:30, with additional 6:00pm tour on Saturday & Sunday and 9:30pm tour on Thursday - Sunday
  • November: Friday & Saturday at 7:30pm
  • Closed December - March
