Segway Adventure (2 Hour)

Two hours of touring by Segway will take you a long way as compared to traveling by foot, and get you much more up-close than you would be by car. The Human Transporter is self-balancing and it is easy to learn to ride with a short 15-30 minute training session before you head out among the pedestrians, bike riders and walkers. The required helmet is provided and your tour guide has lots of insight and interesting historical facts and stories to share with you.

Build up your riding confidence as you head first to Penn’s Landing, a waterfront area along the Delaware River with views of New Jersey and the Benjamin Franklin Bridge. From the river you’ll head to the following areas:

• Historic District, passing Elfreth’s Alley, the oldest residential street dating to 1702
• Betsy Ross House, Franklin’s grave, and Independence Hall
• Society Hill, with brick row houses in Federal and Georgian architecture
• Rittenhouse Square, one of the finest urban parks
• Fitler Square, a charming neighborhood perfect for strolling
• Schuylkill River
• Philadelphia Museum of Art
• Boat Houses and Water Works
• Benjamin Franklin Parkway
• Academy of Fine Arts
• Chinatown

Your guide will be happy to take photos of you with views over the water, alongside The Thinker, the statue by Auguste Rodin, or perhaps even running up the stairs at the Museum of Art, challenging yourself to be like Rocky, of movie fame.

Riders must be at least 12 years of age or be with a parent or guardian who can sign a waiver, and be between 100-300 pounds in weight. Safety first!

Location: Philly Tour Hub, 229 Arch Street, Philadelphia PA, 19106
Hours: Tours Depart 10:00 am, 12:00 pm (noon), 3:00 pm. Additional seasonal departure at 5:30 pm
